What’s Yibber?

Although audio as a media format is more popular than ever, the process of recording and posting audio content is still very time-consuming and complex, and there are limited social interaction possibilities between creators and listeners on existing audio platforms. Yibber solves these problems by merging audio with social media. On Yibber, you can create and distribute audio content to social feeds in only three taps, you can join live conversations about topics of interest, and you can interact with your listeners and favorite audio creators through social features, such as likes, comments, and direct messages. This makes audio consumption on Yibber more social, personal, and engaging than on any other audio platform on the market.

How’s Yibber different from other social media platforms?

In accordance with our slogan, “Real People. Real Voices. Real Feelings.,” we want to create a social media platform that is more genuine than the existing ones. We believe that today’s social media platforms focus too much on looks, and that more important attributes, such as personality, knowledge, and humor get overshadowed. By focusing solely on audio, we aim to create a more sustainable social media platform where everyone has the chance to shine no matter how they look.

How do I record and add a post?

(1) Tap on the plus icon in the center of the footer menu.

(2) Select the option “Record a Post.”

(3) Tap on the circular button to start recording.

(4) When you’re satisfied with your recording, tap on the “Next” button and then the “Post” button.

(5) Enter the obligatory information and tap on the “Post” button in the bottom of the screen and 1, 2, 3…. voilà! Your awesome post is now added to your profile and to the feeds.

What’s a duet?

To make your recording more social, invite a friend to a duet. This feature enables you to be on separate phones, separate locations, and record audio content together.

How do I start a duet?

(1) Tap on the plus icon in the center of the footer menu.

(2) Select the option “Record a Post.”

(3) Tap on the “Duet” in the bottom of the screen.

(4) Share the link with your friend and wait on them to join.

What is a community?

Communities are audio forums where you can connect and discuss with like-minded individuals from all over the world through short-form audio posts or in real-time. To help you find a community that truly sparks your interest, you can search through 32 unique categories such as sports, politics, gaming, technology, news, and crime.

How do I start a live room?

(1) Tap on the plus icon in the center of the footer menu.

(2) Select the option “Start a Live Room.”

(3) Enter the obligatory information and tap on the “Start” button in the bottom and 1, 2, 3…. voilà! Enjoy your awesome live room and connect with like-minded individuals from all over the world.

How do I report someone?

To keep Yibber safe and fun for everyone, we truly appreciate when you report inappropriate content. To submit a report, please follow the four steps below:

(1) Navigate to the person’s profile and tap on the “…” menu in the upper-hand right corner of the screen.

(2) Select the option “Report” in the slide-up menu.

(3) Describe why you are reporting the person.

(4) Tap on the report button.
