We aim to provide you with a platform where you can create audio content, share audio content, and discuss with like-minded individuals from all over the world. Since your privacy will always be of great importance to us, we aim to comprehensively and transparently explain how we process your personal information through this Privacy Policy (“Policy”). This Policy describes, in detail, how and why we, Vix Speakit AB (collectively referred to as “Yibber,” “app,” “platform,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collect, use, share, and store your personal information when you utilize our app.
In order to fully understand our Policy, please read the following information thoroughly:
1. Information We Collect
a. Registration Information
When you register to our app, you voluntarily share:
- Certain required information such as your name, email or phone number, username. You may also decide to share non-required information such as your age, precise location, gender, and photos. Although you decide not to share your precise location, we will still collect your IP address, which could be utilized to estimate your location.
b. Linked Networks.
When you register to our app through a linked network (Facebook, Google, or Twitter), we receive:
- Certain account and profile information about you (e.g. your email or phone, age, precise location, and/or gender) that you have voluntarily shared with the linked network. The specific information we receive from the linked networks is dependent on their privacy policies and your settings for those accounts
c. Contact Information.
When you register to our app by providing either your email or phone number, we will:
- Utilize your contact information to authenticate your account and to enable certain features such as sign up verification. To connect with people you know, you can choose to upload and sync your phonebook with Yibber within your profile.
d. User Content.
When you create, submit, or share content with others on our app, we will:
- Collect and store that information. User content includes everything you create, submit, or share on Yibber such as audio clips, photos, comments, etc.
e. Log Data
When you utilize our app, we will:
- Receive certain information that our servers automatically record (“log data”), including but not limited to, your internet protocol address, operating system, the date and time of your request, your mobile carrier, and device information.
f. Activity.
When you utilize our app, we will:
- Collect certain information about your in-app activity such as which posts you are listening to, the threads you visit, your searches, and advertisements you interact with. We will utilize this information to develop an understanding of your preferences and to personalize the app.
g. Device Information.
When you utilize our app, we will:
- Collect information about the device you are utilizing Yibber on, including the type of device, operating system, settings, unique device identifiers, network information, and other device-specific information.
h. Communications
When you communicate with us through email or within the app, we will:
- Store and maintain a record of your communication. This type of communication includes, but is not limited to, your feedback to us.
2. How We Use the Collected Information
a. App Optimization.
We will utilize the collected information to:
- Provide, personalize, improve, test, and examine the effectiveness of our app. We also utilize the collected information to protect the integrity and quality of our app and the rights or property of our users by addressing issues such as spam, abuse, fraud, and security or technical issues.
b. Personalization
We will utilize the collected information:
- To provide personalized content and information, including advertisements, based on your in-app activity.
c. Analytics
We will utilize the collected information to:
- Analyze how you utilize our app, including but not limited to your interactions with features and advertising. We may also utilize the collected information to develop new products and services.
d. Advertising
We will utilize the collected information to:
- To display relevant advertisements based on your preferences. We may also measure the effectiveness and reach of advertisements.
e. Communications
We will utilize the collected information to:
- Communicate with you via email, phone, notifications, or other permitted methods for marketing or research purposes. This communication could either occur through us or via one of our partners.
f. Legal Compliance
We utilize the collected information to:
- Comply with legal obligations and legal process and to enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements.
3. Sharing Information
a. User Content and Public Information
By utilizing our app, you publicly share:
- Your user content, including but not limited to, your real name, username, profile picture, and posted audio files with other users of Yibber.
b. Third-Party Service Providers
For operation purposes and to perform certain services, we may share your information:
- With third-party service providers such as hosting providers, auditors, advisors, consultants, payment processors, analytics and search engine providers, and customer service and support providers, and advertisers and advertising networks that require your information to provide advertising services on our app.
c. Affiliates
We may share your information:
- With our affiliates or subsidiaries to analyze the quality of and to improve our app. The affiliates or subsidiaries utilization of your information is subject to this Policy.
d. Change of Ownership
We may share or transfer your information:
- If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of our assets, dissolution, reorganization, or bankruptcy. In such situations, the entity (buyer or transferee) receiving your information will have to honor this Policy.
e. Legal Requirements
If necessary, we will share your information:
- If (1) we are required to do so by applicable law, (2) to respond to a valid legal process (e.g. subpoenas or warrants), (3) to enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements, and (4) to protect the integrity and quality of our app and the rights or property of our users by addressing issues such as spam, abuse, fraud, and security or technical issues.
4. Retention
a. Data Retention
We will retain your information:
- For as long as you are a user of our app. If you choose to delete your account, we will retain your information out of necessity to the extent permitted by the applicable law to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and for our legitimate business purposes.
5. Transferring Information
a. Transferring Information Globally.
Since we operate globally, we or our service providers may:
- Transfer your information to, store, or access it in, jurisdictions that may not provide equally satisfactory levels of data protection as your home jurisdiction. In such instances we will ensure that your personal information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it. If you are located in the European Union, EFTA states, or United Kingdom, please note that we may transfer and store your information at a country whose data protection laws may differ from your jurisdiction. In such situations, we will utilize the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the EU Commission.
6. Children’s Policy
a. Children’s Policy
We do not knowingly collect:
- Personal information about children under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register and utilize our app. If we learn that we have unintentionally collected personal information from a child under the age of 13 without parental consent, we will take action to delete that personal information at once. If you are a parent or guardian and have learned that your child below 13 years old is utilizing Yibber, please contact us at info@yibberapp.com.
7. Your Rights
a. Update Information
By logging into your account, you may:
- Update or correct your account information at any time. You may also adjust certain profile settings within your account.
b. Deactivate or Delete Account
By logging into your account, you may:
- Deactivate or delete your account at any time. If you choose to deactivate your account, your user content will not be visible on Yibber and other users will not be able to interact with you. You can reactivate your account anytime by logging in with your credentials. If you choose to delete your account, your profile and user content will be permanently deleted from Yibber. Once you confirm your action, your account will be deactivated for 30 days in which you can stop the deletion process by logging in with your credentials.
c. GDPR Rights
If you are a user in the European Union, EFTA states, or United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you the following eight rights in relation to your personal information:
- Right to be informed – The right to be informed about the personal information we collect about you, how it is being utilized, and how long we retain it.
- Right of access – The right to request access to the personal information we collect and process about you.
- Right to rectification – The right to request that we correct or update your personal information if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Right to erasure – The right to request that we delete your personal information.
- Right to restrict processing – The right to request restriction of the processing of your personal information.

- Right to data portability – The right to request a copy of your personal information in an electronic format.

a. Revision of This Policy
By utilizing our app, you acknowledge and agree that:
- We may revise this Policy occasionally. The revisions will not be retroactive, and the newest version of this Policy will govern our processing of your personal information. We will notify you of material revisions to this Policy via either email, posted notice on our app, or in another equally effective manner. By continuing to utilize our app after material revisions become publicly available, you agree to be bound to the revised Policy.
